My support starts well before labour and continues into the weeks after your baby arrives. Below is how I typically work with families; though every package is a starting point, not a fixed container.

HOW I WORK
(Before the birth)
My birth doula support starts with getting to know you. Before we talk techniques or birth plans, I want to understand how you think, what you're hoping for, and what you need from me. That's what shapes everything else. We'll meet four times in person before week 37, the idea is to have spacious, unhurried conversations at home.
We'll also look at postpartum: how to gather the right resources so that when your baby arrives, you can focus on rest and on each other.

Along the way we'll explore movement, positions, and mindfulness techniques, and we'll make space to talk honestly about how you're feeling about birth and what comes after. The process is collaborative and creative. I work best in the space between planning and a willingness to let things unfold. I come to every birth open to possibilities that help things move. That kind of intuitive support is something my clients often describe as calm and centered, and it comes from really paying attention.
(During Labour)
The mind-emotions-body connection during labour shapes everything about how I work. Even though I have a deep understanding of how position and rhythm can help a baby engage in the pelvis, this technical knowledge is entangled with intuition, experience, and the full complexity of what's happening in the room. I also have experience supporting planned cesarean births, and I care a lot about making a cesarean birth feel like yours: intentional, empowering, and held.

(After the birth)
Postpartum matters to me as much as the birth itself. In the visits after you give birth, we'll talk through your birth, newborn care and feeding, check in on your recovery, and tend to the emotional landscape of early parenthood. I'm passionate about mental health in the postpartum period. We'll start that conversation before your baby arrives: how to build a support structure that actually lets you rest, what resources exist in your community, and how to ask for what you need.
I hold space for the full range of what this transition brings up. And I stay connected- by phone, text, or email- from the moment we decide to work together. You won't have to wonder if it's okay to reach out.
(Photography)
Birth photography is woven into how I support you. I photograph exclusively in analog film, a medium I love for its imperfection, its texture, its timeless quality. I'm not trying to document every minute. I'm trying to interpret what's actually happening: the emotion, the effort, the tenderness. I move quietly through the room, observing and capturing, while staying close enough to offer hands-on support when you need it.
Sliding scale spots are available. If cost is a barrier, please reach out early, I'd rather find a plan that works than have you go without support.
